As much as I can appreciate the humor in the "Blacks!" post - it is not a positive contribution. My daughter is bi-racial - having both Irish and Jamaican DNA. Her skin - my friends- is BROWN - and I never introduced the term - "Black" to reference a human. If we described someone by skin color we would use brown skin as a descriptive. I preferred to introduce the census type "white and blacks" when she was much older and capable of understanding the difference. I am yet to meet someone who has BLACK skin...all that story shows is that the parents talk about "BLACKS" in front of their children - and the childs comment had NOTHING to do with Crayolas. For instance - the first time my 4 year old drove through Harlem she asked - "Hey Mom, how come everyone who lives here has brown skin?"...As cute as the story about the gangbangers is - it is not an example of a child learning colors! Sheesh...

aww man, they were funny! i would love to send you some but as every sentence out of my kids mouth is in a mixture of both English and Finnish I don't think they would be very understandable.
