This is going to be a lot of fun…but, please honey, keep my under”things”out of it! :) I love you.

  6. Hi. I really like your idea of devoting a blog to this. There must be an unending supply of funny material out there for you. I wrote a post on my own offspring’s contributions to this very subject last September. Here it is, if you’re interested: http://areyoureceivingme.com/2009/09/10/parenting-skills-or-unskills/

What Mia said rang a bell, as I had many nights of difficulty sleeping when I was that age, and it felt like my mind was spinning and spinning and wouldn’t calm down even though I wanted to. In my case the cause was a sensitivity to certain foods (tomatoes and apples being the most obvious). It wasn’t an allergy and I’m not aware of any medical tests to detect it even now. Don’t know if that’s the case for Mia, but if the situation repeats itself you might want to keep note of what she ate that day and see if any patterns emerge.
